Medical Marijuana Dispensary Training – 1:30PM Hartford Class – Sept 24th

This is a Professional Training Course to teach you what you need to know about cannabis and your state’s Cannabis Laws so that you can apply to work in a Medical Marijuana Dispensary. The material is presented in a fast paced, 4 hour course with a certification test meant to boost your resume and give you the knowledge you need to speak intelligently when you interview for an opening at a dispensary in the near future. For those with no legal experience to put on a resume, training increases your chances of getting a job in the medical marijuana industry! On average, a Marijuana business owner gets over 200 resumes for every opening they post. With this training on your resume – you WILL stand out from the crowd! This class will cover laws from the following states: Maine: Patients may legally possess up to 2.5 ounces of usable marijuana every 15 days, and cultivate no more than six mature marijuana plants. Approved conditions include cancer, glaucoma, HIV, acquired immune deficiency syndrome, hepatitis C, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Crohn's disease, Alzheimer's, nail-patella syndrome, chronic intractable pain, cachexia or wasting syndrome, severe nausea, seizures (epilepsy), severe and persistent muscle spasms, and multiple sclerosis. Vermont: Patients allows two mature marijuana plants (seven immature) and two ounces of usable marijuana. Approved Conditions include Cancer, AIDS, HIV, multiple sclerosis, or if the disease or the treatment results in severe, persistent, and intractable symptoms; or a disease, medical condition, or its treatment that is chronic, debilitating and produces severe, persistent, and one or more of the following intractable symptoms: cachexia or wasting syndrome, severe pain or nausea or seizures. New Hampshire: Patients may obtain no more than 2 ounces of usable cannabis during a 10-day period. Approved Conditions in Cancer, glaucoma, positive status for HIV, AIDS, hepatitis C, ALS, muscular dystrophy, Crohn's disease, agitation of Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, chronic pancreatitis, spinal cord injury or disease, traumatic brain injury, or one or more injuries that significantly interferes with daily activities as documented by the patient's provider, or a severely debilitating or terminal medical condition that has caused: elevated intraocular pressure, cachexia, chemotherapy induced anorexia, wasting syndrome, severe pain, constant or severe nausea, moderate to severe vomiting, seizures, or severe, persistent muscle spasms. Massachusetts: Patients may possess no more marijuana than is necessary for the patient's personal, medical use, not exceeding the amount necessary for a sixty-day supply. Approved conditions include Cancer, glaucoma, HIV, AIDS, hepatitis C, ALS, Crohn's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and other conditions as determined in writing by a qualifying patient’s physician. Connecticut: Patients may possess an amount of usable marijuana reasonably necessary to ensure uninterrupted availability for a period of one month. Approved Conditions include Cancer, glaucoma, positive status for human immunodeficiency virus or acquired immune deficiency syndrome [HIV/AIDS], Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, damage to the nervous tissue of the spinal cord with objective neurological indication of intractable spasticity, epilepsy, cachexia, wasting syndrome, Crohn's disease, posttraumatic stress disorder. Rhode Island: Patients can have up to 12 marijuana plants or 2.5 ounces of cultivated marijuana. Approved Conditions include Cancer, glaucoma, positive status for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, or the treatment of these conditions; A chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition or its treatment that produces cachexia or wasting syndrome; severe, debilitating, chronic pain; severe nausea; seizures. New York: Patients may have up to a 30-day supply to be determined by the health commissioner during the rule making process or by the physician. Approved Conditions include Cancer, HIV/AIDS, ALS, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord damage causing spasticity, epilepsy, inflammatory bowel disease, neuropathies, or Huntington's disease. New Jersey: Physicians determine how much marijuana a patient needs and give written instructions to be presented to an alternative treatment center. The maximum amount for a 30-day period is two ounces. Approved Conditions include Seizure disorder, including epilepsy, intractable skeletal muscular spasticity, glaucoma; severe or chronic pain, severe nausea or vomiting, cachexia, or wasting syndrome resulting from HIV/AIDS or cancer; amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, terminal cancer, muscular dystrophy, or inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease; terminal illness. Some states call it a Budtender, Dispensary Agent, Pharmacy Technician or Patient Liaison. No matter what the title is, the job description is the same – it is the person that works behind the counter of a marijuana dispensary that helps patients meet their medicinal needs with medical marijuana. They are like the pharmacist of medical marijuana, helping to educate patients on the best product to help them relieve their ailments, and letting their patients know what the appropriate usage of that product is and the proper dosage to begin with. Our trainer is flown in specifically to teach this class and has plenty of inside information on how this industry works! Learn from someone who has been working with medical marijuana for years! Since they work in the marijuana industry every day, they have the most current information and product knowledge. They have already gone through the growing pains of the Medical Marijuana program and start up in their home state, so you will learn what to expect from their first hand experience. There will be a question and answer session as well, so bring all your questions regarding medical marijuana dispensaries! At the end of the course you will be given a 20 question certification test, that you must pass (75%) in order to get your HempStaff Certification. There is no state approved certification for Dispensary Training in ANY state yet, as it is still Federally Illegal, so this will be the best certification you can get!
